Charles, your conclusions are spot on. The flat six turbo is especially sensitive.
FWIW, I think it would be very difficult to incorporate a 997.2 cat system into the 997.1. One is one piece, the other three piece.
A titanium EP would be nice........

Difference was around 25hp and 50nm on the dyno and on the road you can feel at least that and some.. Also lag is noticeably less, not to mention EGTs. Noise is fantastic too. Having tried 5 different exhasuts on 996 and 997tt this is the best system i ever had.
Mine works with an ECU opening the flaps when boost comes and its a treat. Tried the remote and did not like it and hence installed and on/off button in the car. The remote was just way too cumbersome imo and not user friendly at all.
I'd love to hear that George. Sounds very interesting. How loud does it get at WOT?

Nick,George's car sounds a lot at wot for your tastes...Its amazing for a ride or so but you will be tired of the sound level...However there is no drone and difference with claps on and off is obvious...Its the best for a semi track car like this, but not for everyday use to get to the office...

not true imo dimitri, as you can simple put flaps in off position and sounds like a GT2 pretty much, with more free cats. You can have best of both worlds really with this system. And you maintain the porsche sound since the exhaust is basically the stock akrapovich one. Actually if you have them ecu operated then you can leave it in on position and then they open only at WOT. I travelled all around europe last summer and there was no issue with exhaust noise on looooong trips. I really think its best solution for turbo cars as those VTGs love it and they spool much better.
In my car you have a bit more noise from the carbon inlet pipes and bmc filter that bring induction noise.

Well, Skand and I have exchanged views on this, so he knows how I feel. I would like to hear it, not because I would consider changing my europipe, I am way too much in love with my only mod to change it. I am just intrigued by the flaps - I was a great fan of the PSE in my C4S, loved the versatility.
