All due respect, but that's like saying if the goal of (insert other tuner's name here) was to run the fastest TX Mile, they could easily set a car up for it and easily do it.

Both are easier said than done.

Even if it is slow why dont you send your dbn so we can see your 100-150 times.

You make me think that your 100-150 is 5,5- 6,5 seconds....

Scott, I think Luis makes a valid point. When the focus is trying to achieve the best top speed, the shift points were not ideal for the best 60-130 time. Most - if not all of the fastest times posted were all dedicated 60-130 runs with brake boosting. Additionally, a big consideration to make our car a good and safe 1-mile car, we increased the down force, we are running 27” rear tires, we have a solid locking rear differential and we are running racing slick tires in the front. All of these things add up to a TON of drag which we found out were killing us in the 1-mile as well. In our 4-5 and our 5-6 shift points, we lost ~2 MPH during each shift due to these items I listed above. Back to the 60-130 times, one of the better runs was in the low 5 second range with over 2 seconds lost in the shifting. ---- NOT 2 seconds with both shift points, but 2 seconds over and above the normal time it takes to shift.

With all due respect, why do I have to prove anything here with the 60-130 and 100-150 times. The F'ing car is the fastest late model Porsche in the standing mile and most likely the fastest 997TT in the world PERIOD. If I want to run a dedicated 60-130 or 100-150 time, I would dedicate the time and get the car set up to achieve this goal as well. FWIW, it ran the 100-150 in 3.75 seconds. You happy now?

you dont have to proove.

3,75s very fast, lets email me the dbn file and I will verify your 100-150 and put on 6speed list.

BTW; a dedicated 1 mile run requires a dedicated 100-150 run, in other words it includes a dedicated 100-150 run.

Yes in simple terms you are correct. It obviously includes a 100-150 MPH run. It also includes a 60-130, a 0-60, 0-100, 0-150, 0-200, 0-234.6 as well. My point as stated in the above post is as follows:

When the focus is trying to achieve the best top speed, the shift points were not ideal for the best 60-130 time. Most - if not all of the fastest times posted were all dedicated 60-130 runs with brake boosting. Todd,

I have zero issues with Luis' point about 60-130. I agree with both of you that neither your TX Mile run or Joe's TX Mile run lend themselves to record breaking 60-130 times.

I only asked for your data for the 100-150 time. Joe currently holds the Porsche record for 100-150 and I simply want to compare your 997TT time to his to see if you beat it. I also wanted to compare it to the high HP GT-Rs and TT Gallardos to see how close the P-cars are to them at this level. You don't have to prove anything to me, bro.

Scott

P.S. - Just so you know, I'm not in concert with TwinTurboM3.

Mert,

Please stay out of this thread from this point forward. If Todd chooses to send out his file, he will send it to me, not you. I will verify the 100-150 and post the info in your 100-150 thread.

All you are doing at this point is pissing people off. It stops now.
