Rain & Shine at LS with RE-11s

Cannga,
Below is some GoPro in car footage. You can really see just how direct and accurate the Numeric shifter is. Its very precise and solid. I didn't have any issues adapting to it once on track. Definitely a huge improvement over the stock shifter. Not too sure if I would want it in a casually driven DD, but for aggressive, street, canyon, and DE'ing this is a value added piece of equipment.
Third Lap from Practice Session 2 (9:43 am) after some suspension adjustments. 2:00.16 with a bit a traffic... top speed on this lap was 142mph via GPS tracking. Quicker sub 2:00 lap times came during Practice Session 3!

Some hot laps Vid- the track also gets faster by mid morning. Too bad you lost those vids.
I also went with the Delvac and was told it might be slightly harder to shift when car was cold, but I had no problems with that.
Can't wait to finally get back out to Infineon in a few weeks!

Hey Guys, Thanks!
I have only been to Thunderhill a handful of times, therefore I do not know it as well as Laguna and Infineon. Every time out is truly a learning experience for me, as well as a confidence builder. That being said, I do feel like I am definitely getting more familiar with the track.
TT Surgeon: My helmet is a OMP Speed Carbon 8860
EuroTom: The car is definitely feeling better...still needs some minor suspension tweaking...but its in a good place for me to finish off the season and give my bank account a rest! As for second gear T5; our vehicles definitely have enough torque to pull third through that section which I was doing later in the day. The white 911 was quite a bit slower through there, so had I left it in third, the rpm's would have been way too low to pull any sort of acceleration out of the exit.
EH: Welcome back State side! ET, EH & I will both be there on the 22nd, and not on the 21st...

^^^ Indeed! These things are a blast on the track, especially when they are set-up correctly. No one suspects anything from these "lowly, under powered, fat banker cars" !!!

CFRA Sonoma Raceway Qualifying: 09-22-2013
First flying lap from the qualifying Session on Sunday. Lost my Pagid RS19 pads during Practice Session 2. Didn't have any backup pads other then stock Porsche OEM pads...bedded them in 10 minutes before this flyer! We only did one out lap and then 3 flyers before hitting traffic.
HLT Clocked the lap at 1:47.112
AMB Official Timing & Scoring Clocked it at 1:47.116
Yellow 911 Race Car ahead of me 1:46.646
During the race the Yellow 911 was able to maintain his half a second gap per lap...thus, leaving me 4.912 seconds behind for a second place finish. I fought to the end waiting for traffic to hopefully play in my favor at some point. Came close a few times...just not close enough.
Cannga: Suspension is still a bit too soft for my liking. We are max'd out on the rebound damping (full stiff) while the compression damping is about 75% toward full stiff. We are still experiencing some minor porpoising under hard acceleration while exiting the turns. I only have two races left this year so we will leave everything as is for now. During the off season are current thoughts are to send the bodies out for custom valving and install stiffer rear springs.
EuroTom: "Rain & Shine" at SP: Bummer on the rain, but at least it sounded like you were able to get a few dry sessions in on Saturday afternoon.
Etchhead: Keep your head down and your nose clean... chase those quali points...2013 GT-2 QChamp is insight!!!

TT Surgeon:
Yes, he is indeed FAST! Its a1968 911 weighing in at 2045 lbs with driver, 5 gallons of fuel, full fluids, including a cooler full of ice/H2) for his cool suit! Not to mention he is running full slicks…11 inch wheels up front and 14's in the rear….oh, forgot to mention…he is packing a brand new 3.6 built crate engine! I'm not sure if its a tube frame or built on 68-78 chassis. I'll check next month at Thunderhill.
For reference; I weigh in at 3407+ 30lbs of fuel (5 gallons) and 155 lbs of deadweight = 3,592!
spf4000:
Thanks Man! That clip was back to back 47's. Need to break into the 46's….so close!….

VID- very nice times interesting to watch your lines after my first time out at SP. That yellow bee is really moving.
Yes Rain or shine @ Sonoma raceway. Saturday morning was rough, first session out, first lap T2 completely sideways but recovered, or at least PSM worked it out for me. Below is quick video right before my second session.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R75ov...ature=youtu.be
The afternoon did clear up and had 3 very nice dry sessions. This was my first time at this track and I'm sold, a very technical track, much more fun than LS.
Last session of the day managed a 2.03.xx laptime, I've got some work to do.
Attached are a few photos from the day, someone had the bright idea of rented garage space which was a life saver. Note my 081 placement
