Goodness this thing makes my "red dragon" look like a baby stroller. No kidding; and beautiful shot too.
What an amazing experience it must have been. You seem to have become a "pretty" fast driver ;-) yourself.

^ She was a bit of a handful, or shall I say sensory overload. Considering the thirty minutes I had to make the decision to "man up" and get on track after being presented with the offer. Your first time behind the wheel in one of these is very intimidating. Especially when you are not the owner of the vehicle...a lot at risk. Pressure was on.
Monday, 04-13-15, Laguna Seca, I had some more seat time behind the wheel of a GT3. Ecthhead once again offered me his keys,I went out for a 45 minute session and worked up a sweat! I was very appreciative of the time I had on track, it really made me miss my 911/Turbo. I hope to have her back on track in near future.

Below is the start of the race from inside Etchhead's GT3 (he is driving). Qualified 4th and ended up finishing forth overall! The three cars out front are purpose built track cars. The black 996 GT3 is a GT-2 classed car as is the white RSR clone. Of course some of you may recognize the crazy Yellow 911...it is a GT-1...wicked fast off the line!

Spent yesterday at Laguna Seca for the IMSA Tudor Car races. Saw the new 991 RSR’s up close…pretty amazing machines. Also witnessed a field of about 25 Lambo’s race for forty minutes before the Tudor Cars. It was pretty cool to see these in person and as, “real” race cars.

The incredibly gorgeous green Lambo added to my confusion LOL. I bet it's even more amazing in real life?

Things have been quiet here lately but RWD testing is about to resume. I’ll be running at Sonoma on Monday and then again at Laguna June 14th. If all goes well with these next two events the vehicle will be sent off for GT2RS reprograming plus some additional custom tuning.
Can’t remember if I mentioned the rear diff was leaking after my last test day….well it was… and it never stopped leaking until the last two weeks a go or so when I took it back in for service. Also, I had an issue with my clutch not releasing and having to get towed off the track?
Turns out the clutch release issue had to do with a faulty clutch slave cylinder not allowing the clutch fork to fully release. The leaking tranny/LSD was caused by a damaged seal in conjunction with the OEM LSD access bolts being too short to fully tighten/torque down. Therefore, they had loosened and backed out. They had to have custom bolts made to accommodate the Guards LSD with just enough threads to fully torque down without bottoming out in the female threaded mounting points. OEM bolts were too short and the next size up were too... long! Crazy
