Flappy paddles for gen 1 tiptronic steering wheel

I am not a fan of the up / down switches on the steering wheel of the gen 1 tiptronic TT. Has anyone got the gen 2 flappy paddles to fit on their gen 1 triptronic steering wheel. Or does anyone know of other Porsche model flappy paddle steering wheels which might fit...after market steering wheel manufacturers etc.Thanks.

Does anyone know if the PDK steering wheel in the link below would fit on a tip? It looks like a much cheaper alternative to the paddleshift.

I could be wrong, but I researched this a while back and the only option was made by FVD. It was a custom order and took a while to be made. There was a few guys on here that made the switch and were very happy.

I've never done it, but suncoast is an actual porsche dealer...That wheel is made for the tip trans...It will work...I do believe once you have it installed you may need to have your car coded for it...I love the paddle shifters, but I want a thicker wheel also...Not sure I want to spend 2g's for the upgrade and then send it somewhere else to have it redone so its thicker and spend even more money...

If you looking for thicker wheels with paddles. FVD is the way to go!

It's possible to get any PDK wheel to fit a gen 1 car. If there is a specific steering wheel you want, PM me with the info and I'll see which other items would be needed to complete the conversion.

Hi Suncoast, i am unable to PM because i am new. Do you have a paddle shift conversion for the 997.1 in either cocoa leather or alcantara? If yes, how much are they and what are the modifications required for them to work? Please PM me. Cheers
