AZ does not play when it comes to speeding, especially in Scottsdale/Tempe areas. If you are speeding around at criminal speeds naked (no radar/lidar detector) you got what what was going to come to you anyways.

I got a 97 in a 55 and a 104 in a 65 on the SAME DAY in 2008, every since then it's track only. Go to the track (Firebird drag and road race) a few times and it SERIOUSLY dampens the need and thrill from driving fast on the street.

Time to Lawyer up......

Just to provide some clarity regarding recommendations from others about getting a RD. I have V1 installed and it was on. I was avoiding a car just South of Chaparral and Scottsdale which braked hard in front of me and i i was forced to change lanes quickly. I was in second gear at about mid 30's when I hit the gas to avoid the car in front of me and boost hit hard (600hp) and I cleared traffic and then braked only to have a police officer in back of me with lights and siren. Criminal speeding and unsafe lane change. I called my attorney today and in a few months from now we'll see what the outcome is. I've absolutely have beaten myself to death over this because 1) it's a very serious ticket; 2) I was so tongue tied I couldn't tell my side of the story when I was ticketed, I just signed to paper and dropped my head. Maybe it's a sign or something - hey you your run, couldn't deal with it now onto something more practical. I'm not looking for any pity here - I just really don't have anyone to vent to who might remotely understand without making me sleep on the couch.

Don't sell the car, rather, invest in something that will reduce considerably the chances of that happening (V1+interceptor 4p).
On your interceptor, did you have to carry wires from front into cabin or did you use the remote Cheetah technology? if wired thru firewall, can you tell me if an new hole needed drilling or did you use a existing hole?? I hate drilling in that area with air bag connections so close.

My advice is start going to the track to give your need for speed an outlet. It's a total blast plus you will meet great people. That's what I did and now I don't feel like speeding on the street but can go 150mph at the track without worrying about the cops. You either pay the lawyers and the court, or pay your track fee. The lawyers are more expensive.
Good advice

Frustrating, I know. I've only lived here for 3 years. I am far from a reckless driver but I've managed to accumulate 3 speeding tickets from actual officers, a handful of speed camera tickets (some of which I paid), and 1 or 2 red light cam tickets....trying not to get into a rant about the absurdity of the DPS here.....none of these were in the turbo. It's not the car. Keep it.

Don't do it. Get a lawyer, then get a good radar/laser detector/jammer.

Remember the Latin adage "illegitimus non carborundum est" -translated- "don't let the bastards wear you down".

Doug, I though that only NY and Long Island were under constant police radar.

And the new speed camera detectors (good idea)which come with red light camera warnings, the latter of which seems a waste....who wants to run a half yellow-red light anyway, especially in a porsche...could way to get your baby smashed.

I got more tickets in my old ford escort. in the turbo, I rarely go beyond 10 over the limit, unless it's the highway. Then, you must have max protection. It would be like going to a whorehouse without condoms.
the track is a good cure for what ails you, Doc.

Thats a Chicken S*** ticket. The guy must of been a real A-hole. Its hard to even perceive the difference on a freeway. You have to be 10mph over the speedlimit to get most HP officers to even bother pulling you over on a freeway (unless you provoke them in some way). Your right at that point and that sucks. I know this because a very good friend of mine is a HP officer.

As for the Doc. give it some time and really think this over. Installing a Passport radar detector really helps (even tells you where the cameras are). If the cop uses lazer you need a jammer because a regular radar detector will warn you when its too late (unlike a Ka signal). Sorry to hear about your situation I know the feeling all to well.
