Ryan has allowed us to keep the car this long to make sure that everything is up-to-date with the latest hardware and software. Working with T.Hill's flex fuel 900 car in Canada, we have been able to gather a significant amount of data, and apply such changes to their car as well as Ryan's over the course of the build. We could have sent it back a while ago, but the developments that we have made since then have made the wait worthwhile, like advanced Tiptronic controlling methods and programming to improve drive quality on and off boost, not to mention all of the ECU calibration revisions we have done.

I will be honest, I have been away from the forums lately and more focused on internal operations. I have many things to update for everyone on here and promise to do so.

Seriously. Think it's been 8 months and counting. This is a bolt on kit, right? No internals? Is there custom fab work involved here we don't know about? How about some substantial updates like pics, dyno graphs...anything.

Rab Dog is infamous around these parts
Any updates on this project Neil been following it but it seemed to fall off the grid? I agree with Bonehead this has been over 8-months and no exciting newz yet???

New pictures, Dyno's, really interested to see what the flex fuel will put out on the 997..

Working on ethanol cold-start today at 30*F. Tricky, but not impossible.

So far this (E85) is lighting up the turbos 300-500rpm earlier according to datalogs, which is right on target for what we anticipated. It has been extremely hard to dyno this setup and get a flattering number, so we have focused on true driving tests and the data returned to us.

We thank Ryan for being as patient as he has been while we work on his beast to deliver him a truly incredible machine.

Thanks Neil for the update! Can you explain the true diving tests? Do you do drag tests, 0-100mph or 60-times with Vbox?

True driving tests in reference to how Ryan will be driving. No timed performance testing, we can tell how well it is running from the datalogs that we get during the tests.

Projected 0-60mph is in the 2.5 second range depending on traction, 60-130 should be in the high 4's low 5's and ultimately this should be a daily driven 9 second 140+mph street animal. Combine that with the ability to cruise up and down the seaboard, swing by an E85 station and not have to worry about draining the tank to switch fuels and you have the Switzer E911 Flex Fuel 997TT.

What happened to the heated garage or is that just for GT-Rs?
Is the dyno difficult because it's a tip? Anyhow, it's good to see that you're getting close.

We have a heated facility, but with ethanol, cold start with ambient temps below 60-50*F can be tricky. Say you go out to eat with the wife, the car is parked for an hour during the evening and the temps drop to 40-45* it is important to have the best tune so that it fires up and runs just like it would with an OEM calibration.

Dynoing the tiptronic is rather difficult, for instance the red Moscow P800 tiptronic that you guys may remember only dyno'd ~630rwhp on a dynojet. The same package with a 6speed would hit 675-700rwhp+.

That's where the flex fuel comes in handy. You can run E50 and it will fire right up in very cold weather.

Very true, but those "what-if" scenarios usually come around to bite in the future.

Besides, I want Ryan to be able to fire up his car no matter how cold it is and go rip on it with the cool dense air he may be blessed with at that time. You know as well as I do how much fun that can be!

Yeah, I certainly know what you mean. I'm thinking about adding an injector port to shoot in some ether for easier fire up on those cold days.
