Thanks Neil!

What are you hoping for on E85?

Hey Skeeter, got your PM a while back, but don't have enough posts to reply yet..

Glad to see the build is progressing - can't wait to see what it puts down!

I'm no techno wiz like many of you guys, but if this is an e911 running on E85 shouldn't it be putting out more like 800 at the wheels ? The tip has a bigger "loss" factor, but shouldn't this 8-9 month build be like 911 plus at crank and 800 at wheels or so ? I get that this is far from an exact science and daily environmental conditions change the #'s, but ........

Neil. Seriously. Give Skeet/us something. Coming up on 10 months in your shop and not even a dyno graph to show for it.

Do you think that's right?

Maybe they are trying to surprise us with the first 1000 hp 997TT tip on E85 ? No other explanation other than Skeeter's ride was a test mule for the E85. Thats the owners choice, but if you want to market your wares on this listserve it would be beneficial to keep us in the loop. We only ask because we care and are potential customers in our own right. My 2 cents.

Skeeter , you should ask SPI to give you 50% discount for your patience , its really hard to wait all this time !
As i think , its r911 package but with E85 on stock engine , well if you install the kit by any good workshop plus you get the E85 from proto or any shop sell it ! It will not take more than 1 month !
Belive me its really really long time !!!

This is an F911 build although I thought there was one already out there? I think if it was straight E911, then it probably would have been finished by now. I thought it was ready to ship? They're probably working out some glitches. With all these builds, there are unanticipated surprises. The hard thing for the customer is to sit there not seeing with their own eyes what's going on. At some point, you might just want to pull the ripcord on the flex fuel thing and just get your car back if that's the issue. If you run the right size injector, you can run both gas and E85, but then again that might not be the issue here.

I assure you that the parties involved in this development are (and have been) completely aware of the open-ended build from it's inception. If you think for one second that we sold Ryan an off the shelf basic package at full retail and it has taken us 10 months to build it, then you are strongly mistaken.Right now it is running up and down the road, adjusting multiple tuning parameters according to ethanol content. Getting the other ECU to work in conjunction with the Tiptronic has been a setback for us. We just received a new piece of electronic hardware that will allow this project to finally be wrapped up. I did not know that we were waiting on it last week, or I would have mentioned it before. Ryan's car has paved the way for the future of powertrain control 997TT Tiptronic's running alternative fuels, and we thank him for that.

More updates to come as this beast gets finished up and shipped out!
