Pirelli Trofeos

I am looking into buying them for my over powered GT2.

How sticky are they and how stiff is the side wall in comparison to Corsa Systems?

As promised - just add time, $$, and stir. The tt is great. Had issues blowing MAFS by using leaded 110 but other than that CMS has been great. Everytime I bring it in they tweak it a bit more.

I am in Asia right now but when I get back I want to run the 60-130 time.

The GT2 is going to be the bomb. No question about that.

I am seeking out some tires though. I am not concerned about life cycle, I just want something that fits the stock wheels.

I have concerns about SC's based on experience. Having used them on vehicles with equal or lesser HP and even well heated and me trying to modulate the power I could not receive good results from the SC. I will be sitting at 800 FT# in the best of conditions and the only way out I can see is the Trofeo or changing wheel sizes (I want a streetable tire).

I am willing to try again but the Trofeo is intriguing and seems to have the "sticky" characteristics I seek.

I bought Trofeo's about a month ago and have tracked them twice. I run about 31psi in both front & rear (drop to approx 25psi and get tyres heated over first 3-4 laps). Tirewall is very stiff - lot of grip even when not up to temperature.

I agree - I am a big NT05r fan but speed is a limitation. I wish these tire mfg's would see the light. 19" 325/335 width tires are badly needed in a c-compound. I organized an e-mail drive to Nitto 2 years ago for the 345's and they came through - they cant keep um in stock now. I wish Toyo would do the same with the R888. Vipers, high HP 997TT's, Vettes all need these tires - it's a huge market!

I haven't had any problems at speed, grip is great under heavy braking and through very fast turns. I'm happy with them so far.

Found them through big-o (motorsports group) on west coast. Not sure where you'd find them on east coast.

No idea what speed rating is for these tyres. You may wish to take a look at the pirelli website. I used them at Laguna Seca and my max speed on main straight was 125-130mph then heavy brake for hairpin. Tyres worked very well at these speeds and stuck through the hairpin. Heading to different track next week where there's a longer straight.

i believe in tires with groves for top speed
i know that the Trofeos
are rated Y and the Y = 300km/h = 186 mph imagine even the nitto invo are rated Y as well !
