ahh. I see. Apologies for not paying attention. I get ahead of myself sometimes I wish Texas State Troopers and citizens were a little less frequent here. I had to rush to the hospital for my daughter being born in and emergency C-section. Anyway... If I would have been pulled over they wouldn't buy the reasoning behind the 160 in a 65. Even though no one was on the roads that day.

I own a 2011 ZR1 having sold my 900WHP x 830FT# Z06 (what a mistake ). The ZR1 has been upgraded by Lingenfelter and another shop to 690 WHP and 650 FT#. I have NT05r's on the rear and I do not spin at all. The car has an upgraded interior which makes it much nicer than my 911TT or my GT2 but it just is not that fast or shall I say quick. It is however very comfortable and excellent for long trips. My Z06 would eat just about any car on the road but the ZR1 is what a person would be called lazy. It handles well, braking is excellent, it is just to darn slow 0-100. I may be spoiled with my CMS 68mm VTG TT but my z06 took off like a rocket and never let up through 185 and then started gradually increasing; the ZR1 is not even close. I do really like the ZR1 though - like I said it certainly is very comfortable, handles well, and brakes like no tommorrow but if I keep it is going in for a turbo upgrade to 1000WHP+.

I actually exaggerated the poor performance of the modded ZR1. It does haul butt but it is very smooth thus decieving, I need to hook up my V-Box. Very easy to locate the gates(smooth shifting). I would assume it runs in the mid to upper tens in the 1/4. If I were to modify any further I would change gearing to 4.10 from 3.46. Yes it would spin a bit at first but recovers fast and with the right tires would probably/definitely pull off 0-60 in under 3 seconds. I put 3.73 gears in my Z06 and it did the same thing but with 900 WHP and 830FT# it was a beast to begin with.

Lingenfelter was a great guy and left a great company behind. Slow911TT68Tip, can you post or PM some pictures (if you have them) of your ZR1's interior?
Cheers.
Cheers.

It's fun to watch this from the other side...
I recall the excuses...
It's all PDK...
I'd rather row my own gears...
AWD is no fun...
The car drives itself...
It has an unfair traction advantage at lower speeds...
OP - that is a bad ass machine you've got. Thanks for sharing!!!

PDK cars are capable of mid 10 second quarter mile times at 130+ mph in stock trim. See the new Turbo S... PDK is one if not the fastest most accurate transmission for a street car in the world. Porsche spent 1000's of hours developing it while other auto makers slapped em together. There is write ups on them on the web. Lemme find the links and get back. They waited for all the other automakers failures to rear their heads and learned from it. Hence the fact they were the last of the exotics to release this type of transmission.
