it looks like the zr1 was always out of its rpm range, and you got the jump ,
you need to do a rolling start from 3rd gear.

PDK cars are capable of mid 10 second quarter mile times at 130+ mph in stock trim. See the new Turbo S... PDK is one if not the fastest most accurate transmission for a street car in the world. Porsche spent 1000's of hours developing it while other auto makers slapped em together. There is write ups on them on the web. Lemme find the links and get back. They waited for all the other automakers failures to rear their heads and learned from it. Hence the fact they were the last of the exotics to release this type of transmission.

From your last video, it appears that you pulled pretty hard in 2nd and 3rd, then in 4th the ZR1 was able to keep pretty even (although behind) then you started to pull again in 5th. Was this your impression?

I was at a strip a week ago, we did some runs with a new pdk turbo and pdk turbo s, the launch on those cars is insane!!!!
obviously there was no launch here, but looks like a great few runs

ZR1 has a good traction control better of Z06!!!
in the 4th ZR1 has a good power, but When put 5th ZR1 lost the power see this situation in the video 65 at +300km/h!!!
the big diference is the DCT of Turbo PDK, my friend of ZR1 before of the rolling start was certain that it would be successful, but......

997slover is my personal friend, i and can tell you guys... his turbo is a beast...
his car is capable of a 0-300 in ~30sec.. the ZR1 in all races did not wheelspin... the big advantage of the 911 turbo after the PDK gearbox is the direct injection, all rolling the turbo gets the jump due the incredilbe responde of the direct injection... if you see the last video he posted, in 4th gear the ZR1 seems to equal the speed acceleration,but after that it shifts to 5th gear and the pdk gets more half car lenght...
we dont know exactly but seems the ZR1 has a very longer ratio in 5th and 6th gear, because after 4th, it cant keep up in acceleration with PDK...
what ZR1 is really missing , its DCT gearbox...
when higher the power of cars, more the DCT transmissions PLAY THE GAME.
we will try to find a GT2RS here in brazil to see whats the limit of his PDK...
i really bet rolling from 70-90km/h till 250-260km/h PDK no doubt will be AHEAD...

ehhh. I wouldn't be so sure about that. The weight difference is pretty extreme between the 2RS and a turbo. the GT2 RS will be stopping for coffee by the time you achieve the 250-260 mark

dont you forget according porsche the GT2 RS do 0-300 in 28 seg...
i dont think he may get time for a coffe with this very small difference in time
