When I'm driving or stopped at a light, I like to look around me but always feel funny as if I'm looking so that I can see who is looking at me and my sweet car! It's a bit awkward and I like to fly under the radar (I could never own a Ferrari for the even larger gawker factor). Usually at a light, I just look forward. I'd like a little privacy if I want to look around without folks able to easily see I'm looking at them or looking anywhere. Make sense?

I do not like the real darkened windows, I'd like them as light as possible while meeting my needs.

Thanks!
15 to 20% will suit your needs.

35% is dark enough for protection yet light enough to see out at night. The smaller the number the darker the tint - 5% = limo.

Tint is a must in Southern climates and enhances appearance also. Don't think that your 911 is too good for it because it is not.

Isn't all automotive glass from the factory tinted to some degree or another these days?

So is the question then on the value of additional tint?

Otherwise, to say that tint is an unflattering look when it's already present...

Yes sir. The result comes through with Diamond Cut IR Nano Tint because of its nano coating that rejects 94% of infrared rays (heat). Regular dyed tint would only block out 30%-40% of infrared.

I used to hate tint. Then I move to AZ. I also found out through my brother who now does tint on autos as well as commercial projects, that you don't have to be blacked out to get good protection from harmful rays.

Someone I know said this to me when I asked when he was getting tint done (every car in my house is tinted including the moon roofs on top of the factory tint) he said "if I get my windows tinted, people cannot see me".

He was serious, I asked him was he not hugged enough as a baby. My kids ages 10 & 12 always mention the rentals we use on our travels make it feel too exposed without tint.

My home has a button that tints the windows on command when the sun hits too hard.

Yeah I'm not talking about protection from sun damaging UV which is acceptable and understandable...I'm talking about the horror of "pimping yo ride."

It's a P-car people show some respect.

Huber Optik Nanoceramic tints give you the UV and heat protection without the "pimped out" look. It looks fine and does not have that blacked out look and really keeps the heat at bay. No affiliation with Huber just happy with the tint.

It is a great tint - installers will tell you more difficult to install because of thickness and it does take longer for the bubbles to dry - sometimes up to a month. I had it on two P-cars in Colorado - great installer. Couldn't find anyone with good rep here so went with 35% Forumla One Pinnacle - also a great ceramic.

the only way tinting your Porsche would look "Cheesy" is if you are using that PEPBOYS cheap do-it-yourself purplish tint. Everyone has their opinions so the argument will continue. I tint all my vehicles because I think it looks better. I see high end cars everyday in Vegas and most if not all are tinted. To each his own.
