Traded my Ferrari 430 for 997 turbo
I'm new to this forum. Just traded my 2006 Ferrari 430 for a 2010 911 turbo. I'm really stressed about the move. Hope I made the right decision.

I love me some Ferrari, but probably will never own one. Maybe an early 70s Daytona someday at the right price.
How much equity did you get off the Ferrari, if you don't mind me asking. I hope that there wouldn't be too much, if any, out of your pocket.
The Turbo is like owning an Exotic Super Car and having the dependability of an 80s era Toyota! I don't care how you slice it or dice it. Having that is a great piece of mind.

The Ferrari was a great car. Beautiful lines and sounds better than any other car. Fast and great handling. And it's a Ferrari. But I couldn't go anywhere without people taking pictures of the car on the road. Can't park anywhere for fear of a door ding or scratch. I had a AMG CLS 63 for my everyday car. Lots of performance there. Lots of torque. The Ferrari was my weekend toy but never really drove it much. I thought the 911 turbo was a great combo , performance that can be used everyday. Oh and it has PDK and sport chrono boost package.
The porsche that i bought had only a 2200 miles not even a year old. Traded my car plus a few thousand cash.
Now its time to wrap it with 3M film and install my Valentine One and laser jammer. Speaking of jammer, any threads about how to best fish the wires from the bumper to inside the car?
Thanks.

For sure you will enjoy the Turbo much more. You won't get as near as much gawking like the Ferrari! Only except from us Porsche Initiates. That is what I love about the 911 the shape has been around since the 60s and so has become ingrained into our minds. So for the common none car enthusiast they won't really pay attention. Thus granting us some form of anonymity.

I just bought a 997.2 pdk a few weeks ago.You are going to love it-great handling, ride and very accessible performance-much quicker than the 430,which is a bit slow and lacking in torque, these days. Now,if you were choosing between the 458 and the 997.2,that would be harder-maybe the Ferrari might just get the nod.

It may take some time to get accustomed to a rear engine Turbo coming out of a mid engine normally aspirated car . Aside from the daily use factor the basics of both cars translate into two very different driving machines .
PDK is amazing though .
Congrats again !!!
