I have this constant condensation in the left tail light of my 997 TTS as opposed to the right lamp that stays clear. Would you take this to the dealer and ask for replacement unit? They have already had to replace my steeling weel becase the left window where "Sport/SportPlus" appear, also had condensation. Maybe this issue has something to do because I live in this awful rainy place that is Seattle?

I would take it to the dealer and have them replace the tailight... It's not sealed properly and the warranty should replace it for free...

somewhere there is a TSB that says if there is no water accumulation there is no warrant for replacement. dealers call condensation normal. headlights and tailights are not completely sealed units, there has to be some sort of escape for pressure caused by changed in temperature and conditions.

I have it on my clear lens tail lights too.
Dealer says it is normal.

it happens, not necessarily a problem. the ugly part is when it dries and you have water spots inside though, that sucks. As far as function goes your fine, it will also go away in no time.

I know they say it's normal, but why do some cars have it and others don't? Anything you can do to prevent it?

Don't worry about the condensation..could be worse...ever see the yellowing glazed headlights of an older VW?

Now that's ugly.
