Interesting race. Surely shows how "old tech" the Noble is yet how power to weight ratio can still make a difference. I've heard of comparisons to the Ferrari F40 in the concept of the car, so it's probably a lot of fun.

Also check out some of the other reviews they have up. Chris Harris does an excellent job of satisfying the car geek in me with the way he presents some of the reviews.

Noble, 650HP, 3,000 pounds
McLaren, 592 hp, 2,900 pounds
458 Italia, 562 hp, 3,200 pounds
911 Turbo S, 530 hp, 3,500 pounds

So the 911 weighs the most, has less HP than the others and still was the quickest to 60.
why did they extend the drag race from the typical 1/4 mile (~400m) to 600m?
sorry but this stinks, it´s like: what do we have to do that the Porsche loses this?!

I think it made for a much more interesting and telling race. It seems to be true that the numbers don't lie. With a rolling start I'm not sure anything would hold a candle to the Noble, but from a dig and at low speeds those flappy paddle cars with their launch control and power-on shifts seem to rule the day (until the extra power comes to be an advantage).

Don't forget the Porsche is the cheapest car there and so does not perform particularly poorly given the circumstances.

Trap speeds don't lie, I think this is a testament to Porsche's incredible abilities to extra maximum grip out of the 997TT chassis, truly remarkable!

The Turbo S is a comparative basement bargain?!

Was the Ferrari in this comparo lent from Ferrari or was it own by an enthusiast?

i know the facts, but it´s suspicious that they didn´t put the emphasize on the 1/4 mile times like everyone else,
which the Porsche should have won.

rule 1: If a journalist uses a private Ferrari for reviews he risks a lifetime ban for all things coming out of Maranello.
rule 2: Don`t worry, Ferrari will send their well prepared "press cars"

Guys don't forget the Porsche has room for tune-ability to meet and probably exceed the others performance with least cylinders and $$$$$.

On top of that its the most fuel efficient.
