same thing for the last 30 yrs - ferrari lists more power/less weight and porsche is still faster. lc and dct should have ended that though.

would rather own 458 hands down though and thats same as always too

That obviously wasn't the same Ferrari that did 0-124 in 9.4s.

Lots of wheelspin at the start for the F car. Could that possibly have been using launch control? You'd think it would hook up better than that.

Was that at the Moscow Mile?

I'm surprised Ferrari didn't show up to the event to do testing and to reprogram all the later model's ECUs for customer cars.

The result confirms the old saying "HP sells cars and Torque wins races." Even if you factor out wheelspin the Porsche continued to pull away after the quarter mile. The torque for the 458 is 398 ft-lbs the Porsche has 516 ft-lbs.

Hats off to Porsche for consistently over delivering on their quoted performance numbers, it's one of the reasons I have so much respect for them.

And it's Laughable how Ferrari is the opposite. I know this was an unofficial video but it brings to light the topic of how Ferrari games the system and tries to keep this news from the public. (fantastic cars, but I would hate to invest in one and have no idea what it's actual performance figures would be)

For anyone who hasn't read this article by Chris Harris, it's a good read:

in my opinion exist 2 types of 458:

the 458 of COSTUMERS of the real life, around the word

458 vs my Turbo PDK in this videos only whit ECU TUNED 550hps - 2º gear to 6º gear:
