Mike Paridis, has anyone dealed with this tuner before?
I got a call from a friend Yesterday telling me that Mike will be here in Cyprus for a few days tunning cars. As far as i know he is the tuner of the EVOMS EVT1500 which did a Texas mile reccord.
My tuner is Protomotive but all the tuning i had with Todd was via e-mails. I never had the chance to fine tune my car in the presence of a tuner. So i was thinking to give it a shot.
Anyone who had any experience with Mike Paridis?

you have a PROTO setup correct? your going to have another tuner tune a different system.
i would stick to todd, even though its never been tuned on the dyno at the spot, todd can get very very close with durametrics.

so saying you need "fine tuning" means that you are having drivability problems? or do you want more power?
firstly, does he(other tuner) want to tune you on the dyno, or on the road?
Secondly, does he want to mess with the current map you have? are you locked out of that map by todd?(this is possible as some tuners do this)
I would THINK about an email todd and ask him if he allows other tuners to fine tune his maps. From what I've read, todd from proto is a very smart and stand up guy and will speak honestly with your questions...

if has theother guy tune it, he will not be tuning on todds map , he will retune the whole car.
car will not be a proto car anymore, and todd will assume no responsability if anything happens. nor will he be able to help you if you need help as it will be an evoms car and evoms tune , not his own anymore.

Guys, what I was thinking is to do some logs, in the presence of a tuner, on the road, just to see what feedback I would get. No problems at all with my current setup, just to see and analyse the actual values.
After that I started thinking that mixing another tuner is not a good idea. I've been very very happy with Todd and there is no reason to do anything like that.
I was also thinking of the possibility that the other tuner might read out Todds file, so I recited not to do any logs or anything with him.
I had istalled a boost gauge yesterday and found out that my car runs 1,5b on 1st,2nd,3rd and 1,8 on 4th,5th.

That's interesting regarding the boost gauge measurement. I always wondered if boost really stopped at 1.5 bar since that's the limit of the pressure transducer. No wonder your car flies. I suspect Todd's files are likely encrypted so not easily read but it's interesting to talk to other tuners to get their perspective on things.

Exactly, this is the main reason I'm not showing my car to any tuner. I don't want to make a present to anyone

I know all of what you mentioned, I also met him in person and had dinner together two days ago. I am sure he is a great tuner. He have talked to me about you and your company with great respect. He believes that your next Texas pass will be above 250mph
Anyway back on topic, after thinking twice I don't see the reason to mix Mike on my car. Maybe on the next project soon

Mike is one of our development partners and exclusive EVOMS distributor in Greece. EVOMS and EXELIXIS (Mikes Company) do a lot of software and hardware development projects for Porsche applications together. He is based in Thessaloniki but just recently opened another shop / tuning facility in Athens for his growing clientele there. He is one of the best tuners that I know. Mike and I both had our hands in tuning the EVOMS EVT1500. The EVT1500 was such a huge tuning project; it required both of our minds together at the same time to get this car where it is today. He has been a huge supporter of EVOMS and EVOMS products for the past 6 years. He and I have a mutual respect for one another personally and from a business / tuning perspective and I consider him a brother to me. He has built many 996TT/997TT engines and we plan on building a few more "BIG" engines together in the near future that he will prepare and tune for customers in Greece. He just recently installed one of our EVT775 for a customer in Athens and has tuned and installed many more cars in your while to meet Mike in person and determine for yourself if he is the right person for you and your tuning project.

Hello Milou,
Thank you for the response. I think you are correct and its best to stay on track with this car and your current tuner. Maybe you and Mike will work together in the future on something else. All the best to you.

What is the quoted power and torque?

I run MAFless tune, I'm running on VTGs. On the AWD dyno my car did 640awhp and 930Nm torque.
