Given a CMS warranty is provided and given the credentials of the individuals involved in the build I see no reason to be concerned. I will ask and post the results. The engine build will take place this week (I think) after the hired help is flown in to oversee and participate in the process. Champion has taken this build very serious and pulled all resources at their disposal. There are many great Builder/Tuners in the Porsche arena and it seems Champion has all intentions of making a big statement with this car.

I must say something that is not specifically related to my car. Coming from a Vette background I am amazed how many very good builders there are working on Porsche's. Although I am partial to one in particular, kudos to all the great Porsche Builder/Tuners out there. It makes for great competition with the end result being very good for those of us whom prefer to modify our cars. The mediocre Vette builders in the US far outway the relatively great ones and the horror stories I have run across are many and unacceptable.
If Champion has resolved this issue that is awesome! Several reputable builders/tuners have taken these cars to 8k rpm but the life span of the oem lifters is the weak link and fall apart after several hundred mile with the 8k rpm abuse. If you can find out what Champion is specifically doing to address this issue and share this info would be great. Good luck on the build man and congrats.

Bimmer: I found the page where Tom was discussing the RPMs. You can read through it and it explains everything: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...g-shape-2.html

I know the power with 997tt manifold will drop after 67-6800rpm and with gt3 intake manifold ( which is damn huge ) it will extend to 7500rpm.

Goodluck

I found the post Tom put up on the CF Manifolds: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ototype-2.html

Thumbs up

The engine is assembled and will be installed this week. CMS will do the break in on light load street driving and the same on the dyno. The remaining portion of the car - the suspension, various engine components, the RS body kit and all else will be assembled prior to break-in. I have purchased video systems (might also build my own - it is in my line of business) , fire suppression equipment, the Forgeline GA3R's and R888's, Roll cage, are in or will be by mid of next week. Within 2 weeks (I assume) I will take the controls and start my break-in cycle. Pics and initial dynographs coming soon. I have left all the CF in a matte finish including the hood, side vents, the smile, the grill, and rear spoiler. I am looking into side skirts and front splitters, as well as, rear diffusers. The only thing keeping me asleep at night is my newly upgraded TTs.

Thanks CMS

The GT2 rear spoiler is CF Painted over. They removed the paint and finished it.

Sounds exciting Slow. Can't wait to see the pics when it's all done. At the end of the day, you'll have most highly modded GT2 on the planet!

Actually, it's on the dyno getting the tuning dialed in. Trust me...you are going to be seriously happy!

I'll update with details in the official thread....
