Would it be lame....
Ever since the 997.2 was released I've been in love with the wheels. Would in be stupid to put those on my '07 997.1? I've had issues before when people do things like that when there are drastic changes to the look for the model, but the changes between the 997.1 and 997.2 are pretty subtle other than the lights. Thoughts please on whether this is lame to do....

Not at all. You do what you like. Who cares whether it is to someone else's taste.
On the other hand, if you want to change wheels, I'd go for something much lighter. The turbo II wheels are heavy.

The Turbo II wheels are great looking. Some of my favorite wheels that Porsche has come out with. Let me know if you need pricing... Happy to help!

I think the turbo II wheels look great. I kicked around many different styles before making my decision as they were not cheaper than the P40s and others I looked at. I got a brand new set w/PS2s...they're not easy to come by but worth it IMHO.
