Chrono torque advantage???

I have it and I would never go without it. Throttle response is sharper and the couple lbs of boost in overdrive is a HUGE difference if you ask me. Its Jeckel and Hyde personalities with it on or off. You need to go drive one with then one without.
If your going to flash your car, not so much of an issue. But if you plan on staying stock I think its a must have.

I am not undermining the other differences, which can really be felt, but don't you think it's the placebo taking into effect when you can "feel" that extra boost?
60NM over a 1900RPM band on top of 620NM over 3050RPM is what I'd call a very small difference.
I don't mean to argue what you're feeling, but other than the throttle changes and what else it may bring, the performance difference is minimal and I'd venture a guess by saying that if one can feel those 60NM of torque he must be extra sensitive or too familiar to the car he has, having done tens of pulls in a straight line. Hard work there, but someone has to figure out the difference...

I think I need to mention to you guys that a car with the sport chrono package after engine tune still keeps advantages over a car with engine tune and no chrono .
As stated above in forth and fifth gear at high speeds the difference is very noticeable.

you also have to wonder about the porsche marketing machine, increased boost but no HP increase, only torque increase? No expert but that sounds odd to me. Even when stock the car was boring w/o the sport button pressed.

More torque doesn't equate to more peak HP or HP for that matter. It's all about where the torque increase is so it will reflect on the peak power.
The torque increase is over a narrow rev band and as you can see in my above post the peak HP is made way above the peak torque rev range.
The point is that it will make more horsepower within that specific RPM range, but since the increase is not where the peak was before, it will not make more peak HP.

just so people can see what we are talking about rather than just saying doesnt affect the power band that much, or it adds a lot. Take a look at the power curve. But really, the best thing is to drive one with it on and then off. it will help you make your mind right away.
