painted rocker covers
Is there anyone out there who have painted their factory rocker covers? I'm not interested in replacing them with TA or any other company but rather prep and paint them to match the rest of the car.

If you mean the lower trim (rockers) on the sides and front/rear lips, YES. My '09 turbo arrived with lower lips and sides in black on my silver '09, and there was no freaking way I'd let that go.
My crew spent half a day tweaking formulas as you have to be very precise on these lower pieces. They do NOT get the same formula as any other parts of the vehicle due to where they are and how they catch light. After 9 variations on factory Arctic, we formulated our own, and it was flawless.
Find a shop that does a lot of highline work, and meet their crew. You should be able to find the right place. What color?

Won't the gt2 sides get beat up as well? I work at a bodyshop so having them painted won't be a troubling issue.

I keep a spare painted lip in the warehouse. Swap once/year, fix/repair old one if do-able, then repaint and let sit until needed. Easy.
