Help from the PDK driver please

I have a 2011 TTS. When driving in sport mode and commng to a full stop from over 40 MPH the car lurches as it goes into 1st gear right before a stop. Almonst feels like you are downshifting into first from to high a speed. Happens to me approaching a stop sign from speed or exiting a parkway onto a busy ramp.

Was out last night with the wife. She has not been in it much and she commented on this at every stop. I took sport mode off and its gone.

Is this normal?

TYIA.

My car only does it when it's not completely warmed up. Once the oil reeaches the proper temp it doesn't lurch forward. How many miles to you have on your car at this time? It may get better when as you put more miles on the car. For now I would just follow it and maybe give the dealer a call if it doesn't improve.

I have just over 400 Miles on the clock. Spoke to dealer and they said-Normal. Car shifts into 1st prior to full stop to be ready for take off at ant time. LOVE it.

The throthle goes blip but the transmission engaging it still noticable to an extent by the lurch. Like if you were in a 6 speed and down shifted into first and starved the car letting the clutch out. That is what it feels like. i never really downshifted into first onther than from a slow rolling stop.

This is normal.

In Sport and Sport +, the PDK rev-matches and downshifts more aggressively than in normal mode. Basically, the downshifts occur closer to redline than in normal mode, which is fairly laid back.
No worries there.

My Carrera S PDK does the same thing...totally normal. When in Sport Mode Automatic and coming to a stop...brake a little later, slightly harder maintain brake pressure all the way to the stop and the 2-1 shift will not jerk. Sport mode is meant to drive sportier...especially in applying the brakes.

Tiptronic does the same thing as well...At sport mode, after spirited driving when braking into a full stop it will engage 1st gear before the car stops...
