Two years ago i reflashed a 996 r turbo from ruf...Customer wanted something more powerful...the car got 25awhp with just a reflash...and to answer Bobs question,the owner of the car called ruf at Germany asking (with vin verification of course) to send us the original file...Ruf places an encoder between chip and circuit board in order to avoid copy...We had to remove this encoder and retune the original file.then chip was soldered directly to PCB...Also ruf places a plastic frame between upper and lower case of DME in order to raise its thickness...By doing so the encoder fits inside... So this is why they shipped my ECU to Germany. Makes sense. Thanks.

This would suggest that the ill-fated Ruf Bahrain factory has been shut.

Do you sell Porsche products or need some for your Pcar?

Look no further, Im selling all the stuff that is in the RUF factory in Bahrain at cost and under cost price! All new.

Its a huge inventory that needs to be cleaned up asap!

I will go there tomorrow or the day after to take pics of the stuff thats laying around.
