Porsche Crest On PCM

When I first bought my car I got to see the Porsche Crest as I turned the PCM on. I have only seen it once since, and it was for a millisecond. I recall seeing the Mercedes logo every time I turned on the system on my CLS. I realize this is not a functional problem but I wonder if it should show and if it is something one can set to work.

Try turning it off the unit before you shut the vehicle down. When you restart the vehicle and then turn on the unit on you should see the Porsche crest. I don't believe the crest appears while you're driving if you turn the unit off and on. Additionally, I believe if you leave the unit on and shut it down it may not appear when the vehicle is restarted.

Well, I tried the above recommendation but no luck. Any other thoughts out there? Can the PCM be reset?
