Congrats... your wait is nothing though if it's any consolation -- after wanting one since high school, I custom-ordered my M3 back in 2005 and had to wait like 5 or 6 months for it to be delivered. PAIN.

I can relate, my sales person kept e mailing me updates on the build and shipping of the car. It was torture.
Well worth the wait. This was my dream car as well. Had framed posters on my room's wall of a variant of the 911 TT all my life. Sometimes i peek in the garage just to check and make sure it is not a dream.
The car is a beast and looks and run like a supercar.
Enjoy, be safe and get to know it slowly. Biggest mistake is bite-ing off more than you can chew too fast. This car inspires confidence and although I don't know its braking point yet the power and the manner in which it comes on caught me by surprise. I never have driven anything to prepare me for th acceleration and WOT response this car is capable of.
400 plus miles and I can't wait to add some this weekend.

You know it's not normal to take off the wheels and bumpers to wash the car

Took a camping trip this weekend to get my mind off of it. I loaded, unloaded and cleaned the wifes Cayenne so I'm in good standing. And they sent me pictures of my cars loading (keep the driver on his toes).. I get delivery tomorrow...
Thanks to all well wishers. and Thanks @JSF721, I will definitely ease into it, I like to slowly experience each nuance. Last thing I want is a curb incident or worse.

OMG OMG OMG I've been smiling all day. Wow what a car. The smell(direct from Germany), the power, the glowing CF sill, the seats (adaptive) oohhh heaven! I haven't pushed any buttons on the dash yet and it is a much smoother ride than my S2000. The S has 10 buttons on the whole dash, so I'm lost in a sea of options and control, and the power, did I say OMG.
The paint needs some attention to paint chips and scratches, but that will give me quality time.
Funny, delivery didn't solve the insomnia, it's 5:00am and I had to go sit in it again to make sure it wasn't a dream.
My wife took pictures and my son took video, I'll process them soon... but it will look nicer after I'm done with it.

I hope you can all remember your first day, and enjoy with me. I sure won't forget this for the rest of my life... Did I mention the bass note as it cold starts, OMG wow
And how do you get into reverse, finally figured it out LOL
Below is a shot of it as I first laid eyes on it, DSC_0001up.jpgand two on the road home with my son in back.DSC_0043up.jpgDSC_0042up.jpg
He was shooting video and we were both going "WWOOooaaaa"
After I detail, I'll take some glamor shots. If you look close at the front bumper, you will see I have some work ahead. I forgot how much work black is, but I'm going to love getting to know every inch of the car....
