I had ps2's and went to the evo ventus. Similar grip and wear. The only problem is that it takes about 500 mi to break in the hankooks-the car feels like there are grooves in the road until broken in. Very good value

I have to agree. I've placed Hankook tires on all my cars and have had nothing but good things to say. Disclaimer though, I don't track my car so I can't speak on their performance and durability there. What I can say is that for spirited driving on the street, dragging here and there, tight turns, etc., I've had no issues. I did notice that it took about a week for them to feel more grippy (I also aligned my car after getting the tires changed so that could have contributed to the different feeling that car had), but given that I replaced all 4 tires for the cost of 2 Michelins (even more if super cups), I can live with that! Good luck!

i have the ventus v12 on my family sedan and on my previous 987 boxster s. I am/was more likely to break the tires loose on those two cars in light rain than the ps2 tires that are on the 997 turbo. but they are bang for the buck and i havent yet noticed losing traction in the dry. havent decided against the ventus v12 for the turbo but some of the newer offerings are quite tempting
