Y pipe to throttle body hose keeps popping off...

Any aftermarket 'upgrades' for this part? Rear y pipe crappy clamp simply slides right off when a bit of engine movement occurs even at lower boost.

I could warranty it but if a better part exists with better clamp would prefer that. Im guessing its failed from being on and off the car so many times.

When I had my EVO kit installed, I was told this was a problem with higher boost applications. I believe they installed a connector manufactured by Champion?? that fixes this problem.

ah, so the exterior dimensions of the actual throttle body 'body' are the same thus the silicon hose part fits all? Just to confirm before I order. Thank you!

The same thing happened to me after installing the WerksOne Y-Pipe... The guys at Champion sent me a new factory coupling and it's been fine ever since.

I have same problem with carbon Y-pipe on the panamera. I think they are too stiff, they should make them larger than the IPD plenum, but with a flexible hose on each end to allow for some play with engine movements. Having the entire Y-pipe rigid seems like a flawed concept. Keep the design similar to OEM, but with bigger tubes of the same material, same connectors as well.

I think the small rubber bead in the factory piece just does not like being removed even a few times, mine was fine for 24k so perhaps just have to chalk this one up to another consumable part!

Problem solved

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...installed.html

NOTE! The IPD hose will NOT fit a stock throttle body, fits 82mm plenum + 82mm throttle body only.

This is a different part to the IPD silicone reducer for IPD Y-pipe right?
