It's nice to see sharper curves on the body - makes it look more taut and modern, a look Mercedes has done well over the past few years.

The higher center console may make cabin feel tighter but having the shifter closer to the steering wheel is a plus.

I wonder if the bigger size will be noticeable, even with claimed weight loss. I think one of the best attributes of the 997 turbo is its high power to size ratio. I can't think of another car which packs so much power (particularly when tuned) into such a small form factor.

My money is on the taillights fattening up on 991.2. Whilst they are nice, the balance isn't perfect with all that bumper and the small reflectors don't really add enough weight to counter act the overly slim taillight look. I think the colour of the car will definitely play a part in the current look there. Yellow certainly accentuates the puniness of the rear lights unfortunately. The silver looked OK. Perhaps the non metallic colours accentuate the problem?
