Cant wait to get my car back from awd . im doing everything to it from turbo upgrade . tial 3071, inlet pipes, evoms intercooler, injectors plenum y pipes and injectors GMG EXHAUST . complete kit

What should i be expecting besides a blown tranny .
i ordered tranny gets here in 3 weeks hopefully mine holds up from here then if not im going to have a broken core..

tiptronic? it will start to slip after 1.4 bar. until that, you're good.

I remember a while back somebody had posted some very slick parts for the tiptronic gearbox. I think it was all titanium parts but never saw it again.
Anyway you will for sure have problems with the trany. Keep some $$ back for upgrading it

Awesome build; im sure AWD is taking good care of you! You should have Renntech rebuild your trans, they are great to deal with and are also located in FL.

 

Thats correct! Renntech did my TIP and it held up to 725 just fine. They will built it to your specs.

Is an EBC a need for gt3071s? They suppose to bolt on to the stock headers and exhaust with a waterline kit- Any one with experience or running these kits?

 

Yes on EBC\EVC, no more VTG to control boost.

 

water line kit is for the 996, the Porsche tuners might have their own kit for the 997 specific

a boost controller would be needed to run anything greater than the wastegate base pressure
