Question Softronic 2011 997.2 Turbo S Tune Questions

Anyone have any experience or insight on softronic? I'd like to order their product but am just a little hesitant on their tune.

Is it worth just ordering and contacting Switzer Performance for the tune file or is SoftTronic pretty good too? I know Switzer uses Softronic for their tuning on their Porsche kits....

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just downloaded my Softronic flash on Monday. I'm still evaluating the tune itself, but I can say that the service from Dan at VividRacing was quite good. I uploaded my stock map to Softronic on Friday at 2pm Pacific. I received my new file at 6am on Monday morning. I followed all the instructions and everything went off without a hitch. I did have to wait a few days to receive the cable initially.

So far, I can say that there is far more torque low down and the power delivery curve is very linear. I really line the linear power! I haven't had a chance to really let her rip to see what the big picture is. More info when I get it.

Does anyone know if with the softronic software you are able to place another "tune file" onto the car or does it have to be from softronic? Was thinking about buying the cable from softronic and letting another place tune the car and just upload it with softronics software. I really want the ability to flip back and fourth to stock as needed when I go in for service.

i have softronic tune before 2 years , still no issues !! they will provide you two maps , the tuned file and the stock file !!! once you want to run stock file , you can upload it via the cable and run stock or switching to tuned file !!!! so its easy !!!

for more info about tuning softronic in 997.2 you can contact K_DSSL he is member here

thanks

The tunes for the latest PDK Turbos make that car just plain wild and fun to drive. Let me know if you have any questions, I can get you setup today!

Also, we can take your GTR to the next level if you are interested...

I wouldn't do ANY tune on a tts, it really doesn't need it plus there are still questions about the 9a1.
Remember, the actual hp is more like 560, which could be the max for both the engine and pdk. Very few can actually use more than 560hp on the track, it's more than enough.

Right now just a tune. I agree above to some extent, the engine is an unknown quantity, I would tune it, but I wouldn't go crazy with big turbos or something like that...

a tts is a very expensive track car, keep the shiny side up. I was referring to DEs on a road course.
