997.1TT facelift exhaust by Europipe
I'm doing a facelift to my 997.1 Turbo Tiptronic and Europipe has the perfect exhaust for that.
Can't wait to have the exhaust installed and listen to this sound in my garage

We do offer a special 997.1 TT conversion muffler so that you can use the 997.2 TT tips on a 997.1 TT with a 997.2 TT rear bumper.
The backpressure is a little less compared to our regular 997.1 TT stage 1 exhaust but there is no drone and it suits the Tiptronic fine.

Do you have EP2 or the Speedtech exhaust?

No drones and no CEL's. It's just like stock but with better sound.
The only problem that i had was a rattling noise coming from the tailpipes in the 1800rpm/1850rpm range. It only happens at low speeds when i'm in high gear (3rd and 4th) going up hill. When it passes the 1800rpm i hear that anoying sound for a brief moment. 50rpms or so.
In manual mode i never hear it because i never stress the engine with low rpms when the car needs power.
I only started to hear that sound after i got a new girlfriend. It only happened in one street when i would pick her up at her house so to fix the problem, i dumped her
Steff gave me another solution but i havent had time to do it.

We did had noise problems with the new 997.2 Turbo tailpipes though. These tailpipes are made of several different sheet metal parts and there is a big weld at the bottom side but no weld on the top side.
So when you knock on the tailpipes with a plastic hammer or with your knuckles you will hear a rattling sound.
We have solved the rattling issues on the 997.2 Turbo tailpipes by welding the top side of the tailpipes. ( so far on two different local cars )
