Turbo S PDK-transmission warning message

This morning while driving to work in slow moving traffic, when I had to slow down to a crawl because of a car turning in front of me, suddenly a warning light came on which read "transmission emergency run". I then drove a few yards and stopped the car. I shut the engine off and then restarted it again and everything was back to normal. Anyone else experience this before???

In stop and go traffic any trans tends to get hot and overheat- Whenever my tiptronic gets worked up that light comes on. It makes sense to drive it in 1 gear in traffic- typically 2nd and keep shift changes to a minimum. Each time the trans shifts it makes more heat.

With the PDK you'll definitely want to have the dealer check it out. Could be a fluid issue.

I've only even heard of that happening to guys after 5-10 hot-laps around a track...never in traffic. The issue is the fluid overheating, but if that's happening to you in traffic, something's wrong.

My Turbo S did this took to dealer. They reset board and error message came back. Porsche replaced the Pdk.Sent the PDK in Overnight car was down about a week total. I was told that Porsche would not allow the Pdk to be worked on. 1500 miles later car runs fine. My car did the same exact thing you describe. Once I had one error they just kept coming but the car never shifted bad.

That's a bu**er. How many miles have you run up on the S so far? I've now got 2100km on mine.
