champion has a 3.8 I think and GMG has a 4.0.

rough cost I'm guessing is "lots."

Yes we do. It's quite extensive too. We do A LOT of work to the engine cases, crankshaft, replace rods, pistons, and complete rebuild the heads, all using only the finest parts available today, period. I'm sure most of you have already seen the parts, but just in case: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ing-shape.html

I think you might find that the cost is not quite as high as some would lead you to believe. But then again, it's all relative. We are currently working on another 3.8L GT2 upgrade and when I told the owner of that car what the cost would be he said "oh, that's it?" And this is someone who came from the JDM tuning world (having owned a heavily modified R32 Skyline).

well , i think its more than great to have a kit which contain :

better pistons , rods , oil pump , maybe cams , exhaust valves and intake valves !! when we say heads work , as i read from many guys here its better to leave the heads alone and never touch them !!!

something else , i think going high a bit in the strok , you can do it by Turning !!! so its possible to install bigger pistons (correct me if am wrong , am not engine Mechanical )
this will not be costy and it can be done easily by good engine builder !!!

what do you think ?

Bringing thread back to life-- what is happening out there? Why is everyone so quiet? There has been a lot of development of bigger crank plus bigger bore possiblities out there. Are they working--is that why there is so much silence?

We've done a few of our big bore 3.8L kits. So far so good, no issues, and they make good power...

A couple of them were featured in build threads on here. Search under my username you'll find them.
