True, but thought there was a bolt in cat.
Didn't know we had 2 sets of cats. Thanks for the info.

When I look at the parts diagram it doesn't look like the cat is a discrete part. Here's the parts page - I don't even see something that could be a secondary cat - maybe internal?

I'm from Missouri, but damn that is really a country style mod on those 996 cars. Might as well weld the doors shut and paint the car with grey primer. The PBK solution looks a lot better.jk

Ruf Style 997 Exhaust. This is a core exhaust that has been removed from a Porsche 997 Turbo and fabricated to emmulate the Ruf exhaust at a fraction of the cost. This exhaust has a sound that is slightly more aggressive than stock, and not as loud or annoying as the aftermarket options. This exhaust is free flowing enough to work on Flashed and modified cars up to and exceeding 700hp.
Does PBK replace the cats or has he just modified the "internals" of the muffler?

Or swap with 100 cells but then you need a dme tune to turn off engine light due to failed emissions error. My car also passed the smog test, so i can't be happier with the setup: oem look, oem sound at lower rpm and louder at upper range, increased power with noticible faster turbo spool and more consistent overboost values in the gauge, no parachute effect (empty space in muffler area) and a fraction of the cost of a aftermarket equivalent setup.

Cut the stock cats by the welds -> replace it for 100cpsi cats with the same diameter -> weld it back in the same spots. If you find a welder with good skills, the welds will be as good as from factory and even the dealers won't notice the difference during a visual inspection.
