Yes it's quite obvious info floating around on the web about 996tt/997tt liners failing as a consequence of being under driven is seriously flawed....and, imaginary. And that the mezger block has torsional rigidity issues causing the liners to fail when not being driven hard enough .. Ther's surely some very very funny stuff out there and the sad thing is that some actually fall for it.

An installation or assembly issue is generally the only cause for liners falling to pieces in blocks.....not nursing the engine.

Total operating hours is 548..
The range 4 ignitions were almost 240 hours ago besides both range 3 and 4 were for such a brief period that it shouldn't make any difference.

If car runs fine, it should be OK.
