Guys,

brand new brakes and steering wheel is shacking like a hell after 800 kilometers that I did very gently !!!
After 3 hard braking from 200km/h there is no brakes at all.
I talked with three guys that had same issues !!!
Brembo is a joke to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If any one interested can show some movies.

Does it shake while braking or just while driving? If it shakes during braking, your rotors are warped... If you have no brake pressure, you'll need to re bleed them...I know a set of bbk I put on, had two sets of bleeding screws on the caliper....

Hello Karol,

We have tested 2 seperate Brembo GT kits on 2 different 997tt here.

We had the same problem on 997tt, i wonder how other owners are still using them without problems...

I think they are incompatible with the pre-filling brake system on 997 Turbo.

Cheers,
Emre

it started for the first time when I hit to Germany, I did about 2000 kilometers without any hard breaking, than I find out that steering wheel is little shacking when touching brake pedal.

When I did 3 times hard acceleration up to 340 and braking to 200km/h I found out there is no brakes !!!!!!!

I have cup car air guides and gt3 air guides after radiators so there is no way to deliver more air.

will do pictures of discs tomorrow.

IN MY OPINION BREMBO GT IS MONEY WASTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I talked with a friend from Germany he had same issues, brembo replaced the discs and same story happened.

Something doesn't sound right. Brembo's are top notch. You might have gotten a bad set, it happens. But it doesn't sound like everything is right with yours. shaking when pushing in the pedal points to warped rotors. I'd give Brembo a call directly and let them know what's going on and see if they have any suggestions and can point you to a shop that "specializes" in their systems. That way everything is covered by them. I'm sure it'll work out in the end. I've heard nothing but great things about Brembo's and you see them on almost EVERY track car. They are the standard that has been set. That being said, no company is perfect and it is possible that you got a bad set.

Karol check for any play in tie rods ends and suspension parts first as this can be a reason for your steering wheel shaking. If they are OK then rotors are your next step.

Guys, steering wheel shacking is the one thing but no brakes at all after 3 hard breaking is second thing....

stock 350mm brakes are much much better !!!! I never had any problems with stock brakes even after race track, I can't imagine my present brambo brakes on the race track

1st question is whether or not the brakes where burnished or bedded?

I have had them on 2 x 900+ WHP cars and they where awesome but you must burnish the brakes for longivity and performance. They are superb brakes if they where installed correctly, burnished, and use the correct fluid.

The second question is the temp rating of your brake fluid.

Something doesn't sound right. Brembo's are pretty much bullet proof and three "failures"! I would think the best thing to do is to contact Brembo. I am sure they would be interested to see what is causing your issues.

Probably due to install problems. It sounds like you have air bubbles in you brake lines and the shuddering sounds can occur when the retaining clips are not installed correctly. You might want to get that checked out.

As u may recall Karol I had same experience with Brembo big reds on a 996tt.. Tried to warn you as I was also very surprised having that shake and then fade after only 2 laps..
The best solution is latest generation pccbs..

I had the same problem on my E60 M5 with the Brembo GT kit. My problem was I did not properly break in the brakes before using them. After my new rotors came in I properly broke in the brakes and they worked beautifully.

Wink

so how should look like break in process? different then all other big brakes systems???? As I mentioned car did 2000 kilometers journey and after half of this distance steering wheel started shacking.....

in my opinion there is somehing wrong with disc material.

I'm not an idiot, I know the feeling of air in the system, I have race lotus for God's sake and I never had any problems with AP big kit!!!
I'm using castrol SRF. What can be done wrong with instalation?
