mt street radials
Hello Everyone. wanted to put MT street radials on the rear of my 997.1 t.
Can you tell me, the tire is 35 vs 30 stock. so the overall diametr of the wheel will be almost .7" taller. what do I do with fronts? leave it stock?
is the transfer case will handle this fine/? will the MT tire clear the fenders? is there better drag tire for 997.1t? what is the best f+r tire setup for drag 997.1?

My experience with 997 TT
I have heard of messed up differentials when running differant height tires. The factory is a .7" differance from front to back. There is plenty of room under the rear fender for an even wider tire. The front tires do not spin on the track, I wouldnt worry bout DR's up front. As far as Rears go. A Toyo R888/RA1 should handle high HP as long as you know what you are doing. The R888 is noisy though.

The 305/35-19 Mickey Thompson radial II is 27.9 diameter. Too much compared to the stock factory diameter of 26.2. Your best bet is to get a set of 18 inch wheels and put the 305/30-18 on the rears and the diameter is 26.4.
For road use this tire is the best drag radial you can get. I used them on my 800+ whp GTO.

Yes.
Ive been 1.4-1.5 60's on Nitto Invo. MT DR is overkill I think... I actually bought a set but never installed them on my wheels since it does well on regular street tires. Ill send you a PM

Another option is the Toyo Proxes TQ street drag radial. 315/35-18 is 26.6 diameter.

1.4 60fts is crazy! I've gone 1.52 in my GTO and that was a rush! I've done 1.2 60fts but in a Super gas door slammer Firebird when I got my NHRA 7.50 license.

Hello. How about the nitto drag tires?? they have right size?
i really want to keep 19" wheels there...
as for trackition, i need drag tires as our drag tracks are bad here! so we spin a lot!

The only one that will fit your wheels is the 345 but the diameter is over 27 inches. No go for the transfer case. You may just need to get a pair of 18 inch wheels with the correct tires for the rear at the track. A track-only setup.
