Cracked windshield replacement ?

A dealer should be able to tell you by looking up the part numbers and seeing if they match. You should also be able to purchase what you need from the dealer as well, and if your ins. works anything like MA insurance, it should be covered 100%. Hope this helps & best of luck!

Did you see the piece on 60 minutes a few months ago regarding windshield guys? Check it out. Very important this is repaired properly.

You have a 2011 TTS and you want to use a windshield from an 04-09? Am I missing something? Do yourself a favor and go to the dealer and get this repaired properly and don't use a "local glass place that cannot acquire a windshield".

My detailer spent three days polishing it out. It still ticks me off when I think about it. The shop payed my guy to buff and polish it out, but he could not get it 100%. No one notices but me, but every time I look at it I am angry. When I picked the car up, they didn't even notice all the scratches they had put in it until I showed them. I am in the habit of carefully inspecting my car after anyone else touches it for anything. It was all I could do to remain calm when I saw what they had done.
The car was show quality when I dropped it off. My detailer spent a full work week on it prior, and it looked like black chrome. It still just blows my mind the scarcity of any competence anywhere you go. You have to be SUPER careful who you trust your work of art with. People just don't care about your stuff.
I just drove my car 150 miles to drop it off at Piper Motorsports, the one shop I know I can trust. That's what it takes, because there is no one closer that I consider competent to touch my baby.

Another issue is time, mine is unfortunately very limited due to my work schedule. I am gone a lot, often for months at a time. Sometimes I lose out to the reality of how difficult it can be to take on big side projects, like a law suit.
That is my thought process so far. I am looking at tracking the car anyway this Spring as well.

I'd be on the fence about suing them too. They were trying to do you a favor by wiping down your car, and their intentions were not malevolent, just misguided. I think paying for a re-detail is redress enough... in my book the rest is no different fate than a branch falling on your car while parked under a tree.

My GT2 is black. They should call it "Nightmare Black" because it is so difficult to keep it nice. It is so beautiful but it shows the slightest blemish, which requires endless attention. I still love it though. Everyone should own a baddass black car once in their life!
