Just upgraded from a 997 S to a 997 Turbo (both are 2007).
I want to chip my Turbo, should I wait and 'learn' how to drive it before this? Or chip is ASAP?
Lastly, what chip tunings are best - I only know APR.

 

Stick with one of the large, recognizable tuners. If you are lucky enough to live close to one of their shops, consider using them and building a relationship. It will help in the long run. Most tunes will improve the linearity of the power and torque curves actually making the car easier to drive albeit with more power and torque. Not as much turbo lag or rush at 4K for example. Finally, upgrade to a more free-flowing exhaust system at the same time. Flashed ECU's and stock exhausts don't get along well especially under track conditions. Best,
