Passenger side door latch doesn't work

2 weekends ago, a friend drove my car. Therefore I was sitting in the passenger seat. We did couple of drives. The following day I took the car in for service, the service advisor called later saying that my passenger side door doesn't work. I was confused, but the good thing he said that it's under warranty. They said that they need to order a new latch. Then when I went to pick up the car, he said it wasn't the latch but the switch. So last week when I try to open the passenger door it still doesn't work.

The passenger door does not unlock or lock with the keyless entry. Only unlock from the lever. What do you guys think is the problem?

I have to take it back in to the dealer.

warranty. let the dealer deal with it. If they're not competent, you have other options in California I'd imagine. Post up and let us know though?

It's just a pain to drop off the car 30 miles away with traffic, finding a ride back, and then pick it up once it's done.

This time they said it's a chip that's on the handle. Will see Monday and find out if it works or not!

A chip that's on the handle?

I think you need to find a new service department.

This is what they replaced:
  1. Microswitch
  2. Door handle (I guess interior)
  3. Passenger side control unit
  4. Power window motor
Luckily this is all under warranty. Can't imagine what it'll cost.
