Oil Pressure Gauge

I ran my car yesterday for the first time in a while. Once the car was fully at operatring temperature I notices that under hard acceeration the pressure guage can read 4 or higher. is this correct?

Yes. Anything over about 1500rpm should read 5bar. IDLE(warm) is about 1.5-2
