BBS RE Centerlock Wheels - 12lb Per Corner Weight Savings!

As if the Porsche 997.2 Turbo was not already amazing enough, this customer stepped up his Porsche game with a set of these centerlock wheels from BBS. The titan silver finished wheels are a factory replacement for the OEM centerlock wheels. At first glance you might not notice a big difference between these and the stock design. However, the major improvement is in the weight. The front 19x9 +47mm weighs only 17.8lbs and the rear 19x12 +48mm weighs 20.7lbs. This weight savings stomps any 1 piece forged wheel on the market. Typical 1pc forged wheels weigh about 21lbs front and 23lbs rear. With this type of rotational weight savings, you are in theory saving 12lbs of rotational weight per corner. However this comes at a price. These wheels retail for about $9500. You got to pay to play! Check out these BBS lightweight racing wheels here.

""The front 19x9 +47mm and the rear 19x12 +48mm""
This is GT2 RS spec. right?
Is this spec. OK to put on Turbo without changing suspension or alignments set-up?

How do you compute that?

Gerado you can run this on a Turbo. Just keep same tires of 235/35/19 and 305/30/19.

Fade - rotational weight savings is usually times 3lbs.

Do I need to lower the suspension?

You do not need to lower the car. Obviously the handling benefits for going with a coilover and sway bar package would be great.

That would depend on where the mass center is from the center to the outside of the wheel, but never knew that before. Thanks.
