Steering wheel vibrates after changing to aftermarket wheels.....

Balancing a wheel is not an easy task. Are you comfortable that this was done properly? even if the wheels are out of shape, unless they are like a flat bottom wheel should balance when done properly.

Oops, I felt that too after upgrading to lighter wheels. I assumed that was normal. I felt more of every bump on the road. Kind of annoying when I'm cruising, but when I'm driving the twisties, it was great to feel more close to the road. Is this normal? I asked around and was told this is normal.

Vibration is not normal. As others have suggested, the vibration is usually caused by one (or more) of these:
1) wheel/tire not balanced (most likely)
2) bent wheel
3) tire out of round
4) wheel mounted slightly off center (unlikely)
5) suspension issue (very unlikely)
A shop with a Hunter Road Force balancer can probably help you sort out which one it is. If the wheel is bent, scrap it and buy a new one; it is far too dangerous to have a high-performance wheel straightened.

If it's bent then you can align and balance as much as you like it will never fix it!
Also are you sure you wanna be running 45's and 55's.

The vibration for me is strange. Like I feel the road more. In a straight line, the steering wheel pulses left and right very slightly, but car remains going in a straight line. Is this the same thing? Normal?
