DME report

Ok, found the one I think, just have a very odd DME report, but the PPI came back clean. Can I assume that something was glitched on the DME when it recorded the overrev

Range 1 655
Range 2 55
Range 3 1
Range 4 1
Range 5 1
Range 6 1 - 42 hours.

What is the meaning of DME report since there is a rev limiter?

The rev limiter can't prevent a bad down shift and might not be able to catch a quick over-rev if the car is either in neutral or the clutch is engaged. Other might be able to comment on the validity of the second part of my statement.

I'd call this "livable". There's probably no damage to the engine, but if you're real picky, there are cleaner cars out there.

I am sure people would still say why buy this when MANY cars with ZERO over revs are still out there

Does that mean that in a pdk car it's hard to damage the engine despite high rev driving?

Yes, as far as I know, the PDK will not let you downshift into a lower gear if that will put you outside the redline. I haven't tried or tested this, but you might still be able to get stage 1-2 over revs while accelerating if you hit the redline really hard.

Found a 997.1 with 95% of the options I want and with a fabspeed tune and exhaust (and HRE rims), but the ecu report obviously has a lot of over revs from the raised limiter.

Based on miles and options, they are asking about $3-5k over market to consider the options.

Thoughts?

Overrevs:
Range 1 - 13362 578
Range 2 - 3284 578
Range 3 - 625 359.9
Range 4 - 121 359.9
Range 5 1 220.8

Current Hours 578.6

If it has a tune with a raised rev limiter, it's normal.

I have a tune with the stock rev limiter and still got minimal range 4 over revs FWIW.
