You are not the first one to say this. Do you have first hand experience that you can share?

I am running stock breaks, but was looking at the Brembo big break kit. Any information will be helpful.

Cheers.

Slick997 is infamous around these parts
Keep in mind the set for sale is of off a gt3 rs 2011, just the magnesium hats are 2 k each and are 2.5lbs each lighter than standard 997 pccb,s, and are new, for a set of the best porsche pccbs new for 12500$ I think it's a steat! 10lbs total lighter than standard pccb,s and there probably close to 26 k from a Porsche dealer, same brakes on the gt2 rs 2011 .

Mc joe i'll find out what brand of pad they where

Slick997 don't get me wrong i would love to have these on my car ,it just seems unless your car came with them it's way much $ to add them afterwards compared to some of the aftermarket brakes out there.

FYI, I'm using the new Hawk DTC-60 pads which are a high temp track pad but work very well on the street. Good initial bite when cold and little to no noise.

If you plan on doing any track events or DEs then the PCCBs are not the way to go. If you are 90+% street then they are nice since they don't dust and look pretty.

Good luck!

I will say this, i had a yellow Switzer 997 with there vtg 700 kit witch i loved, with the brembo big brake kit that they installed while they did the 700 kit and i also had a 997 with a proto gt3071r kit (kit is for sale) witch had the pccb,s, we would road race and switch back and forth and see witch one (set up) we liked better, and both agreed that the brembo kit would get so hot and feel like the wheels where going to brake off and go into diffrent directions. It was then when i said that i would never have a 997tt with out pccb,s for the street. Who ever was driving the yellow Switzer car couldnt keep up with the white one, and not because of the power, the brakes where just such a huge diffrence it was knight and day, pccb,s are worth there weight in gold! And imho i think they are just *** important *** a 700+hp kit, there a must! Not just the braking, the whole driving experience was completly diffrent, steering was much lighter with the pccb,s the handling felt much better and just gave you a feeling like you where on an R1 or some crazy crotch rocket. the brembo kit felt like it was going to brake off when they got a little hot. 700+hp with pccb,s and your laughing, you guys who have pccb,s you know exactly what im talking about! Hope this helps
