Opinions on Bumper Mesh & Eggcrate Grills?

I’ve installed the GT3 vent (painted midnight blue body color) and the Rennline silver mesh underneath it (see picture). I really like what the GT3 vent looks like in body color, and the little touch of silver under the vent provides some nice but very subtle contrast (you can only see the silver mesh if you’re standing right over the GT3 vent), and to me works with my silver Techart mirror inserts.

I’ve also installed the Rennline silver mesh behind the front bumper stock “eggcrate” slats to protect the rad. A picture is attached. This is what I’m looking for opinions on. I think some contrast is usually nice (especially on a triple blue cab like mine, which is a lot of blue), but I’m trying to decide if the silver mesh behind the lower eggcrate slats is just too much silver. One of the options is to paint this Rennline mesh black (see the Photoshopped picture).

I’ve also never loved the stock eggcrate slats (my car came with them painted body color, but if I was ordering again, I would have left them black). Does anyone know if they are actually removable? As an example, the GT3 front has mesh with no eggcrate slats, which I think looks nice. I’ve also attached Photoshopped pics of my car with silver mesh and no eggcrate slats, and black mesh with no eggcrate slats.

So, to summarize the choices:
</O
1) Leave as is (silver mesh with stock eggcrate slats).<O</O
2) Paint the mesh black and leave the stock eggcrate slats.<O</O
3) Take off the stock eggcrate slats (if they’re removable?) and leave the silver mesh.<O</O
4) Take off the stock eggcrate slats (if they’re removable?) and paint the mesh black.<O</O
<O</O
All opinions welcomed!<O</O
<O</O
Thanks very much guys.<O</O<O</O

2 or 4. Leaving the mesh in silver seems out of place but again I understand these are photoshopped so it may look better in person. For example the mesh under the GT3 cutout looks fantastic.

Totally agree with EuroTom. 2 or 4 for sure. With a slight preference for 2.

By the way, GREAT looking car!!!

Leave it alone or 4. I love the black mesh-style, you just have to make sure it comes out looking OEM-like. Silver mesh has a tendency to look unfinished and cheap.

First, your car looks gorgeous. Second, I am so glad the pictures have writings on them that match the list numbers!

I vote #2 " Paint the mesh black and leave the stock eggcrate slats".

Thanks for the opinions so far, and for the compliments!

Does anyone know if the eggcrate slats are easily removable?

Re the front licence plate, it's unfortunately the law here in Toronto (Ontario). I wish they'd eliminate that law like so many other places have, because I agree, the plate looks terrible...
