997.1 911 Turbo Gear will not go in

Yesterday, my 997 Turbo stop working in the middle of Traffic. Car only has 15,000 miles on it. 2007 Model Year. I drove it on the freeway, and hit a wall of traffic. and stropped completely. After that, I could not shift my gear in to the Slot (MAUNAL TRANSMISSION). My engine runs, no lights on the cluster, but it just simply would not go in to the gear. When car engine is turned off, it would go in.
Did any one ever run into or anyone that you know was in this kind of situation. I am sad, because, my car is no longer under the warranty!!!
Thanks. Anything will help.

I had a problem with the the clutch assist on mine, but it could be a master cylinder issue as well. If it is either of these, it is not a huge problem.

Sounds like your slave cylinder went out or is out of fluid...

Its a common problem with the 997. Dealer told me the syncros get out of wack or something like that from time to time. Put it in second once and then try to go back to first that should solve it.

Either your slave or master cylinders are acting out. Did you have it towed to the dealership or back to your garage?

I pulled the car out today from the dealer. Dealer told me that Transmission is OKAY, but will need to drop the transmission and it will cost $1700 just to take a look at it. I just paid $170 digonostic fee (1 hour Labor) and took it to the shop in my neighborhood, who specialzes High Performance Audi, Porsche and Nissan GT-R.
We will see what needs to be done, I will keep you posted. Thanks.

most likely slave problem, but oil drippage should have been seen on the garage floor. When slave bad, the oil should slowly come out of the unit down to the frame and drip on the floor. My P-dealer says $1000 to replace. I've heard there is plenty of warning for slave problems with drippage.

I got a call from the guy at the Garage. Told me that Fork is BENT, Fly wheel and Clutch is fused together from the HEAT. I down shifted down to 4th going 60 miles per hour to slow down. and stopped. I will take a look at the parts .

Yes... To 4th Gear... I had not had chance to go see the car this afternoon.
I may need new Flywheel as well. I think it is Dual Mass Flywheel. I found LUK Dual Mass Flywheel, and they claim to be the OEM? Does anyone know if this is indeed the OEM part? and I am looking to put in Beck and Arnley Clutch Kit. Does anyone else have any other better idea?
I hope I can save the Flywheel. it cost too much....
Wish me luck tomorrow.

This did sound like a master cylinder problem & you don't always see oil drips b/c the thing can leak internally (just for extra info). The problem with your car however, sounds much more sinister & really unusual for a car with this low of mileage. Did you go & see for yourself this heat "fusion"?? If so post some photos. If you've been tracking car & doing high speed downshifts then ??
Dan @ Vivid racing in Phoenix has excellent clutch products. My daily driver > 750hp & shifts like a dream with the short throw shifter & the Kevlar reinforced clutch I got from Dan.

Do not drive the car as is. It seems that something is causing your clutch not to disengage properly. Driving around like that even for short period of time will severely wear out or damage your syncros.

Guess what?
My shop WICKED AUTO SPORTS in the San Fernando Valley, (Los Angeles), called me up and told me to come by. Mike, (Shop Owner) showed me the Cracked Pressure plate, He things that over the time, due the heat built up, it had fractured the Pressure Plate. Fly wheel had a lot of heat spots. He will try to resurface it it, but, if it gets too thin, then we have no choice but to replace it.
