Did the tech who did your alignment recalibrate the steering angle sensor?

This can only be accomplished with PIWIS or a similar device. If you went to an independent shop, they may not have done this.

The steering angle sensor sends data to PSM/ABS system to help it determine when to intervene. When your car was re-aligned, the steering angle sensor is receiving new information and may be in conflict with the PSM/ABS sensors causing the ECU to shuts down PSM and sending a CEL. The ECU probably thinks you have a steering angle sensor problem, when, in fact, you have set the car up with a new alignment.

Although I have not tried, I think Durametric can recalibrate the steering angle sensor - otherwise you will need PIWIS. I'm fairly certain this is the problem, especially if the only thing that was done was an alignment.

If it's just the steering angle sensor calibration, I believe you can reset it by starting the car, move the steering wheel at least 15 degrees right, then at least 15 degrees left, straighten it out and drive to above 3 MPH. That should set and clear it. If that does not work then you may need to go the Durametric or PIWIS way.

Give us an update as I get this error every time I disconnect the battery and the above procedure has always cleared it.

I really hope so the alignment shop said 99.9%. I asked why didn't you do it in the first place, they claim because I just got the car lowerd. They normally don't have to recalibrate (Angle sensor).
