Take Center Caps Out Of Wheels

Dumb question. Is there a way to take the center caps out of wheels without removing from the car?

Depends on the kind of wheels. Some are just press fit, but many have allen screws, which you have to remove the wheel to get at.

If you have two holes, like this:

I have used two thicker paper clips bent into an "L" shape.

Or you can order this:

Thanks for the advice. I just had BBS F1s installed. My tire dealer, a good friend, picked up the car at my house so I was not there when he installed the wheels. When I got home from work I realized I forgot to give him the center caps I had ordered so he installed the BBS center caps that came with the wheels. Unfortunately they have no holes. I guess I will either have him remove the wheels and install the new center caps or I could drill a small hole in the BBS caps and remove as you guys have recommended.

I drilled a small hole in my HRE caps for easy removal with a dental pic type tool

Duffy, are the center caps smooth? I've also removed them with these:

They are small automotive glass suction cups. They are actually available pretty small.

if you do not mind asking, what color BBS did you purchase? A picture would be appreciated, thanks.

Don't mind at all. That is what this forum is all about. They are gloss black. I am out of town but I plan on taking some pictures and posting in a few days. I got the last set of gloss black BBS had in inventory and from what I understand, there may never be anymore except for the one set in Ceramic Polished left. I will explain further with the pictures.
