My "new to me" '08 Turbo

This morning I took a flight from Orlando to Miami to pick up a 2008 Basalt Black 911 Turbo with 9,415 on the clock. I've put about 60 miles since picking it up this morning. All I can say is "WOW!" The fit, finish, drivability and power of this car are truly amazing. I'm coming from a very highly modded '05 STi and high hp Supra. This 911 is neither the fastest nor the lightest, BUT it is by far the most refined and composed (I must be getting old)

Thank you to the 6 speed community for the information and knowledge on this site. I'm looking forward to learning more about what this car can do. So far it has been simply amazing!

I even called USP Motorsports while I've been down this way to see if I could pick up a set of Dectane taillights, but they were already out...

Looking forward to my drive back up to Orlando. Will post pics when I get home!

I just bought a set of the Dectane/Depot LED tails from fishcake123 on ebay. They look so close to the OEM ones it is uncanny.

I also bought the Agency Power DRLs from Vivid and they rock. I'll be posting pics of my install process for that one tomorrow.

I will be painting my calipers yellow next weekend (my current red/yellow makes me think of Ronald McDonald).

My M3 has a nimbleness that the TT can't match (3200lbs, RWD) but as a reliable, great looking daily driver (500lbs tq at like 3K RPM??) the TT simply cannot be beat by anything else on the road.

Congrats on the purchase, enjoy!

p.s. Orlando is boring. Move to Miami

We'll see how long I can resist the urge to mod.

P.S. Would love to be in S. Florida, that's were I grew up.

I've been fortunate enough to have well know detailers David Fermani and Todd Helme take care of my new toy today. They've been working on it since 8am. More pics to follow soon.....

Thanks Ken! When I saw the deviated stitching and Aerokit, I was sold! BTW, I love your DPE mesh wheels and was so close to getting something similar, I even asked Acute Performance about your setup, but headed a different route.

The RoadWrap did look a little odd, especially when I met friends out in Delray Beach on Atlantic Avenue that night! No doubt the RoadWrap saved the paint!
